CheckPoint HR is an HR services and technology provider. We work with small to mid-sized companies ? those with 50 to 500 employees ? helping them eliminate unnecessary HR expenses while improving HR programs, compliance, and employee satisfaction.
As a QA Engineer you will be responsible for all facets of the manual QA process. You will develop test plans and test cases (in a manner that lend themselves to subsequent automation), carry out the actual product testing, as well as diagnose and document problems that are discovered and document the completion of testing projects.
T o be successful in this role, you must be well versed in interpreting functional requirements, as well as discerning requirements that are not formally documented. A QA Engineer should be well versed in the software development life cycle (SDLC), and able to utilize the tools typically used to aid the QA process. They will be expected to ensure we release high-quality software.
Develop test plans and test cases, including analysis of complex use cases.
Investigate and document discovered problems.
Well-versed in interpreting functional requirements and functional specifications.
Well-versed in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Ability to perform impact analysis of software changes
Able to consistently ensure we produce high-quality software.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, entrepreneurial environment.
Document process or procedures within QA department.
Interact with other departments (e.g., development, support, product management, etc.).
This position is expected to work effectively with little-to-no management oversight.
The ideal canadidate should meet the following requirements:
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience, with at least 2 years hands-on experience performing QA in the .NET environment including conducting manual testing.
Demonstrated ability to analyze use-cases to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
Thorough understanding of web-based technologies and application.
Experience in a software company that implemented and sold software products in a competitive marketplace.
Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both verbally and in writing.
Experience with SQL in a SQL Server environment, with the ability to write complex database queries (a plus)
Experience with QA automation and/or programming skills (a plus)
