Fieldglass is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst with a strong manual testing background to work closely with our Development and QA teams in our Naperville office. This position is responsible for testing the Fieldglass application in order to maintain product quality. The successful candidate will work closely with developers and other analysts and apply analytical and problem-solving skills to ensure that the code is working per specifications. This position is an on-site position and will be located in our Naperville office.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer or information science, mathematics, engineering, or management information systems or related course of study
CSTE and/or CSQA certifications preferred
8 + years of experience manually testing web-based applications and an ability to demonstrate a solid career path in quality assurance
3 + years of experience leading a team size between 3 to 5 testers
Experience using MS SQL Server desired
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio) desired
Experience using Selenium desired
Ability to thrive in a fast paced start-up environment
Self-motivated problem solver comfortable with ambiguity
Superior communication skills, high level of detail orientation and a ?roll up your sleeves? attitude
Demonstrated ability to meet professional standards for attendance and punctuality
Must demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision, quickly adapt to changes, willing to work on tasks until completion and maintain a high level of work performance and service excellence to meet client?s needs.
Essential Duties:
Must have experience leading a test team in an agile or waterfall development environment.
Highly technical and able to communicate well with developers on the team.
Experience managing software releases.
Experience developing and executing test plans including test estimations and risk assessments.
Proactive and creative problem solver with proven ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines.
Extremely detail oriented and organized, able to provide clear and accurate status updates.
Demonstrated superior troubleshooting skills.
8 +? years work experience web-based applications with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
Energetic and enthusiastic, with a passion for Software Quality.
Communication of results from assessments with crucial stakeholders.
Strong organizations skills.
Experience with writing functional requirement documents to support new/changed functionality and works with stakeholders to obtain signoff.
Demonstrates understanding of the different browser idiosyncrasies and how they can affect application behavior.
Develops test plans and test strategies.
Manages defects and works with development team to provide resolutions.
Complies with various process controls throughout the SDLC.
Supports business and call center teams in understanding system functionality.
Supports the production release process, which includes the ability to work late nights and extended hours approximately once a month.
Plays an integral role in the entire software development lifecycle including participation in design sessions, defining functional requirements, working with development teams, testing, and preparing code for production deployment.
