QA Analyst LeadPages
You probably haven?t worked with anyone like us before. We?re a Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN based startup that?s changing the way businesses do marketing, lead generation, and conversion rate optimization online. With a growing team that works closely together, we move fast and enjoy what we do. Launched in January of 2013, we now have over 15,000 customers.
Come join the fun and build something big with us.
So here?s the deal?
In just over a year, and with a very small team and few resources, LeadPages has generated millions in revenue and has released game changing innovations; we?re the first company to apply ?big data? approaches and ?network effect? thinking to post-click marketing (don?t worry if you don?t understand what this means: we?ll explain it during our interview).
We are (humbly) considered a thought leader in our space because we precisely skated to where the puck was going before anyone else left the bench.
Thanks to visionary leadership, our dedicated team, and a truly astonishing road map, LeadPages? growth potential is huge.
The last 12 months have been amazing, our product?s impact is swelling and the LeadPages? ground floor is practically quaking.
To accelerate our growth, LeadPages just raised a Series A round of funding from some of the best and most well-known early stay venture capitalists in the world. We?re doubling the size of our team and we?re going to lock in our leadership position over the next 12-18 months.
Now, our small-but-fantastic team needs a QA Analyst
We are seeking a hands-on quality assurance tester to work closely with the product development team driving bug free product releases.
To love this role, here?s the type of person you are:
You are a tenacious software tester who loves being part of a team that regularly ships immaculate software.
Even though your loved-ones call you a nitpicker, you refuse to let details slide.
You?re excited by working for a startup, because you know things move quickly.
You have a keen eye for finding bugs when nobody else does.
You are inquisitive and ask great questions to find out how software is supposed to work.
You delight in pushback and aren?t afraid to voice your opinion if you think differently from the rest of the team.
You love working in a lean startup environment, knowing it means we ship early and often.
You get a thrill watching what you?ve made help many people grow their businesses.
You never say, ?That?s not my job.?
You?ll need a unique combination of skills and experience including:
2 years of experience testing web applications and web services.
Experience with JIRA.
Two years of experience being on a team using iterative software development, with one (1) year using an agile methodology.
Strong communication skills sufficient to clearly communicate with both technical and business team members.
Experience with mobile testing and strategies.
Experience with automation/ performance testing.
What?s the plan?
Your responsibilities and priorities will shift with the tides, but from a high level will include:
Hands-on testing throughout the design and software/application development life cycle.
Participating in all phases of the test cycle, including Integration Testing, Regression Testing, User Acceptance Testing, etc.
Developing test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
Identifying and reporting defects through JIRA and tracking through closure.
Partnering with developers to assist in the reproduction and resolution of defects.
Ensuring that the reliability, performance, and functionality of assigned features and functionality meet or exceed business goals.
Using quality assurance methodologies and metrics from project inception to deployment and beyond.
