The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be primarily responsible for developing reusable and reliable automated scripts in Quick TestPro. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for identifying test cases to cover functional and regressive testing, creating and executing manual test cases, as well as working closely with developers in defect resolution.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop automated test scripts based on test strategy;
Develop test plans based on test strategy;
Create and execute test cases based on test strategy and test plans;
Review business requirements and software system designs for testability;
Effectively communicate testing activities and findings in oral and written formats;
Support test lead to identify risks and to develop mitigation strategies;
Plan and coordinate work activities to ensure completing of tasks and projects;
Facilitate and participate in requirement gathering with stakeholders, product team members, development team members, and QA team;
Candidates must be lawfully and fully (without restriction) employable in the United States either by virtue of citizenship or by having authorization from the Department of Homeland Security and the US Department of Labor.
Required Skills
Knowledge of software development life cycle;
Working knowledge of testing at different levels (e.g., unit, functional, integration, system load or performance testing);
Knowledge of object-oriented programming;
Experience using a programming language (e.g., Visual Basic, c++, c#, java); Experience with VB Script is a plus;
Sound understanding of MS SQL, has written own queries;
Flexible and adaptable to a "fluid" style of QA; ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
High energy, resourceful, and a fast learner;
Willingness to learn the qualification process.
Required Experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a programmer, ideally in a QA environment.
