QA Build/Release Engineer TrueCommerce

Description

Install and operate hardware and software within a Virtual Lab environment. This role will support build and environmental needs throughout the software development cycle.

Maintain an existing library of virtual test environments and add to as needed.

Works with the project team to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle, including reviewing specifications, developing schedules, and resolving issues

Develops domain expertise and actively participates in functional and technical specification reviews to provide domain expertise and testability input

Identify and escalate issues related to plan and quality

Actively participate in developing support strategies that will support the environmental needs throughout the software development lifecycle.

Assist with tier 3 level application support.



Required Skills and Competencies:

Requires a four-year degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent experience

Minimum two years of work experience in software Quality Assurance testing and analysis

Experience with SQL, and Windows required

Good oral and written communications skills

Ability to write QA documentation and summarize findings

Organized, detail-oriented and good interpersonal skills

Ability to work in fast-paced environment

Ability to diagnosis severity of problem and take a leadership role in problem resolution

Desired but not mandatory: Strong knowledge Virtual Environments, knowledge of agile testing concepts and practices, and experience working with VMware and VM Lab Manager software
