Responsible for all engineering and management of the quality aspects, systems, and quality activities within SandForce, including development and implementation of the SandForce Quality Manual, Product Reliability procedures, testing, and reporting. Responsible for the FA system, including system setup, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Work in close coordination with HW design and Product and Test Engineering in development of DFT, HTOL vector generation, and quality associated with ATE testing of products
- Management of Quality department resources
- Develop and implement the standards, methods, and procedures for testing the reliability of the companys products
- Develop and implement cost effective product reliability test systems, and equipment
- Work with overseas 3rd party vendors to acquire needed device, product, and package reliability data
- Develop and evaluate product reliability for new product rollouts, including SER
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and control systems and activities
- Manage all aspects of reporting the Quality data internally and externally
- Manage the design, purchasing, and implementation of all quality fixtures and hardware
- Assist in product and yield data gathering and analysis
- Drive the chip FA process, including system setup, analysis, and reporting
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by management
Skills Required:
- Wide ranging experience in Quality on different products, product areas, and quality systems
- Ability to manage a group of engineers
- Experience in working with overseas 3rd party vendors
- Ability and experience in delivering HTOL vectors for burn in testing
- Knowledge of JMP statistical program would be helpful
- Ability to work with consultants to design, define, develop, and implement reliability hardware is a must
- Understanding of test coverage modes and state of the art coverage percentages would be helpful
- Ability to drive the QA/FA process is a must
- Familiarity with Flash would be helpful
- Ability and willingness to create clear documentation for procedures, status, and changes
- Ability to analyze and report on the product reliability is a must
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to interface with design, process, and test engineering to solve problems
- Ability to work and act independently
- Experience with ISO 9000
- Experience with deep submicron processing (65nm or below) needed
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters and at least 10 years experience
- Experience in putting at least 5 products into production
- Previous management experience.
