What You?ll Do
Project Management
Act as the primary QA representative on a Scrum Team
Determine the appropriate testing strategy for each Sprint deliverable
Prioritize and plan quality control activities across several projects
Report on product quality regularly
Provide risk assessment for release planning and contribute to bug triage
Quality Assurance
Create test plans and test cases for any/all features in the product
Explore features as they are being developed to identify design, testability and usability issues
Work with Developers to determine an appropriate test environment and tools for testing Sprint deliverables.
Set up test environments, reading log files, testing APIs and inspecting databases/data files.
Create automation scripts using Selenium and JUnit.
Execute manual and automated tests, interpret the results, and diagnose basic test failures
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical subject, including engineering, mathematics, the sciences or equivalent work experience
Five or more years experience as a software quality assurance engineer, with experience managing projects or teams.
Experience developing automated tests with some of the common frameworks in the industry (JUnit, Selenium, TestNG, etc.)
Experience working with Web technologies, including HTML/CSS, Web servers, or application servers
A solid knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, Unix shell scripting, and ANT.
Proficiency in performance testing execution and overall methodologies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A passion for software quality
