Tripwire?s R&D organization consists of empowered, passionate scrum teams delivering enterprise class, security oriented solutions to the business and customers. Our engineers are generalists, contributing to the definition, design and implementation of solutions to challenging problems in the security software space. The successful candidate for this position will participate in the team?s work and become part of a community where engineers seek to grow security domain knowledge and improve development and QA practices and processes.Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented QA Engineer to join one of our product teams and own test design, find product defects and drive successful resolutions, and communicate production readiness to key product stakeholders. You will work on a tight-knit scrum team ? side-by-side with developers and product stakeholders ? to ensure quality releases and promote QA Best Practices.
Requirements
BSCS/BSEE or equivalent experience.
2-4 years professional experience in software quality assurance.
Strong system and network administration experience.
Power-user level competency on Linux and all Windows platforms.
Experience in one of more of the following areas:
o Scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python, Ruby)
o Programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, .NET)
o Test automation design
o Software performance testing
o SQL database knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication and collaborative skills.
Experience testing security software is a plus.
Experience working with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
