QA Engineer - Performance & Scalability Lattice Engines

Overview

As the QA Engineer, you are adept at solving unforeseen problems in a creative manner. You approach all challenges with resilience and determination. You fluently convey complex ideas to colleagues and customers.

Responsibilities

Meet with various project teams, determine their performance testing needs, analyze performance requirements
Create performance testing project plan for the project, and load test plan
Design and execute daily load as well as larger, system level tests
Analyze the data gathered from performance tests with an eye towards application performance, availability, and capacity with the goals of ensuring the optimal user experience
Create and present load test reports to senior project managers and team members

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Performance Testing using home grown and standard tools such as SilkPerformer and Load Runner
Tool evaluation experience
SQL experience
A dedication to accuracy and precision
Ability to work as a team member, both on the QA team and with other Developers, PMs, and managers
Knowledge of performance bottlenecks, end-to-end performance, and web performance measures (server response time, throughput, network latency, etc.)
Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear, audience aware, and business-like e-mails, status reports, and summaries
An understanding of web protocols including HTTP, HTTPS, TCP/IP, and DNS
An understanding of networking and web technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, jsp, ajax, .Net, etc.
