QA Engineer Xoom
Xoom is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to work closely with our engineering and product teams. You will have a solid technical background with a focus on quality, testing strategy, and delivering high-quality results in a time-sensitive environment working with both web-based and mobile products. The Xoom platform provides financial transaction movement and management, fraud, compliance, settlement, security, and reporting services.Qualifications
? 2+ QA or development experience with a working knowledge of testing methodologies, industry tools, and best practices
? Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
? Ability to organize and capture functional complexity in a comprehensive testplan
? Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues
? Working knowledge of SQL and database usage
? Ability to create clear and concise bug reports with actionable steps to reproduce
? Comfort working in an agile development environment or the enthusiasm to learn
? Ability to recommend and spearhead workflow changes
? Excellent written and oral communication skills
? Working experience programming in and/or common
scripting languages with JUnit is a plus
? Experience with mobile testing is a plus
Duties and Responsibilities
? Plan and test new feature deployment in an agile environment
? Support and improve our team?s tools, methodologies, and best practices
? Collaborate with product management, developers, and system administrators to ensure timely and robust execution of testing as part of a regular release schedule
Education
BS in computer science or related field or equivalent knowledge and experience
