The QA Engineer is experienced, diligent, and passionate, ready to join buuteeq's product team to help build and verfiy our innovative and business-changing SaaS-based web and mobile applications. This individual is an expert at QA related tasks on both UX/UI and internal functionality, black-box testing and writing automated QA suites for system level regression tests. The QA Engineer is creative, a diplomat, and wants to be part of a team that works well and plays together, too.
Responsibilities
Ensure fluid, bug free releases for rock-solid products.
Work collaboratively with the engineering team and customer success team to isolate and resolve bugs and production issues.
Perform test execution, including functional (frontend and backend), regression and system integration tests.
Work with other engineers to design, build and support test automation in our framework using Selenium or other similar open source tools.
Write manual test cases and create test plans.
Use bug tracking system (we use bugzilla) to report and track bug status.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in software testing.
1+ year of programming experience with one of the following: php, Ruby, Python, Java, C#. preferably Python.
Experience in testing web-based, multi-tier software systems.
Solid understanding of QA methodology. Understanding of overall software development lifecycle and processes.
Experience in writing test plans and test suites.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment and often a setting without lengthy requirement documentations.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent field.
Additional Desired Skills and Experience
Experience of software QA in testing load, performance and scalability of a website.
Experience of writing automated test suites using open source software such as Selenium.
Experience with cloud services, especially Amazon's AWS.
Mobile experience is a plus.
