Responsible for designing, implementing executing tests, capturing results, and filing defect reports. The tests will check the software for adherence to specification, reliability, consistency, and ease of use. Will require the engineer to be highly motivated to do several test runs and file bugs.2 Positions: JVM QA Engineer and System QA Engineer
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Create automated test scripts in PERL/Python, manual test plans, execute tests and analyze results
File bugs, track progress of bug til resolution by following up with development
Review QA test plans as relevant to areas of specialization
Perform manual and automated tests in a large-scale test setup
Required Skills
1. JVM QA Engineer
Minimum 2 years' experience in QA/test engineering
BSCS, BSEE degree or equivalent required
UNIX/Linux experience is required
Programming experience (Java shell, PERL/Python) required
J2EE and application server (Tomcat, Weblogic and JBoss) experience a plus
Compiler experience a plus
2. System QA Engineer
Minimum 2 years' experience in QA/test engineering
BSCS, BSEE degree or equivalent required
UNIX/Linux experience is required
Programming experience (C, C++, shell, Perl) and using system calls required
Working knowledge of networking and operating systems
System testing knowledge will be a plus
