CREATETHE GROUP has an immediate opening for a QA Intern position. The position requires a commitment of 20-40 hours per week for at least two months. The ideal intern will be energetic, creative, have a positive attitude and a motivated person who can excel in a fast paced environmentResponsibilities:
Developing and maintaining software test plans/scripts (focus is on manual testing)
Executing tests and documenting and reporting results
Tracking all defects/bugs
Providing effective communication regarding QA status and issues
Testing multiple projects (varying in scope) and applying time management strategies to ensure all QA deadlines are met
Preferred Skill Set
Experience with and/or solid understanding of PC and Macintosh operating systems, web development tools, web browsers, internet standards, web analytics, and streaming media
Strong QA skills, including technical/tool skills as well as knowledge of various SDLC approaches and QA procedures/best practices
Experience in creating test cases, running manual tests, and logging defects
Able to handle multiple projects and effectively manage shifting deadlines
Some basic familiarity with ecommerce content websites and social networking websites
Must have a good understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, C++, XML, .Net, etc.) and backend systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
