Job Description:
We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to join our innovative product development team. The successful candidate will lead and manage all testing activities with both internal and outsourced testing groups. The testing involves J2EE-based software product testing with web-based user interface testing, data integration testing, system tests, multiple cloud providers with integrated cloud services testing, regression testing, user acceptance tests, documentation testing, and performance/scalability testing. The candidate will be expected to manage the full quality assurance process including requirements review, test plans, test scripts automation design and development, test execution, test reporting, and product quality reporting. As part of quality assurance, it is also expected to perform release management, build engineering, and development operations support (application deployment and maintenance for development and QA).
Responsibilities:
-- Understand concepts of cloud service brokerage that involves planning, sourcing, ordering, provisioning, monitoring, and governance of cloud services for large enterprises and SI/VAR partners.
-- Communicate with customers and development teams to obtain and manage testing requirements
-- Develop and maintain test strategies and plans across product development and customer projects
-- Coordinate and lead testing efforts for product releases and customer environments
-- Validate and review testing plans and executions from internal and outsourced testing groups
-- Hire and manage both internal and outsourced testing resources that include test engineers, test automation, build engineering, and development operations support
-- Develop and present reports on test project plans, test execution, and product quality.
Qualifications:
Required
-- Minimum 7 years of software testing experience
-- Experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, and test cases
-- Experience with web-based UI testing
-- Experience with dashboards/reports data testing and validation
-- Experienced in viewing and validating complex SQL including mathematical functions, grouping, joins, sub-select, etc.
-- Knowledge of various ETL, data warehousing tools and concepts
-- BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related areas
Familiarity with following tools/technologies:
-- Automation Testing Tools
-- Ticketing Systems: Trac, Teamforge
-- UML: Rational Software Modeler, Rational Rose
-- ETL Tools: Pentaho Kettle
-- Data/SQL Mapping: iBatis
-- Databases: MySQL, DB2, Oracle
-- Application Servers: JBoss
-- Proficient with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
Preferred
-- Experience with Amazon AWS, Terremark, Savvis IaaS cloud offerings
-- Understanding of Catalog/ERP concepts for ordering, provisioning, workflow
-- Experience with testing reports/dashboards
-- Experience in startup companies and with commercial software product development
