Your Mission:
The QA Engineer has primary responsibility for identifying problems with the software and its design. Our QA role is a highly technical position within a highly technical development organization. You will perform test planning, manual and automated testing, and quality assurance for a cutting edge cloud-based system across a distributed organization. You will work closely with other members of the QA team, developers, architects, and operations team members to assure quality and service reliability and availability for Quantivo?s analytics solutions.
Your Responsibilities:
Work cross-functionally at all product stages to promote quality
Design and produce test plans and detailed test cases
Perform manual and automated functional and regression testing
Produce bug reports and write clear steps to reproduce bugs
Coordinate with development and operations team members to ensure the required test platforms are available
Interact cross-functionally and with remote team members on matters that require coordination
Work with developers to perform root-cause analysis and preliminary problem diagnosis
Your Profile:
Degree in computer science, engineering, or technology related curriculum
3 or more years relevant work experience and knowlege of QA methodology, tools, and tricks
Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
Working knowledge of Jython or similar scripting language, SQL, and internet technologies
Familiarity with automation tools like QuickTest Pro and Selenium
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Experience in working upon multiple requirements / projects concurrently
Ability to both independently and with others in a high-pressure environment
Highly motivated, detail oriented, self-starter and has strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Excellent verbal, listening, and writing skills
Strong sense of responsibility and good at taking the initiative
Curiosity and aptitude to get very, very dirty in the depths of Quantivo technology and cloud architecture
