Full DescriptionThe Operations Team at Noesis is looking for a QA Ops Engineer that embraces the DevOps culture and can help champion that culture and associated processes within our engineering organization. As we continue to scale up both the Noesis organization and platform, we need to ensure that we continue to build out our automation capabilities and put into place the right set of tools to measure and improve our systems. At Noesis, we believe that DevOps is more than just integrating sysadmins with software engineers to automate deployment but that the alignment also must also encompass security, HA and disaster recovery.
If you are the type of engineer that likes to be right in the middle of the entire product processes and is passionate about using tools and techniques to provide massive scale, we would love to talk to you about this position. Additionally, because this role provides critical support to many of the functional areas within Noesis, the candidate will have the opportunity to make a dramatic impact on the future successes of Noesis.
Responsibilities
--Extend our existing automation framework and build out new areas that we have not yet
addressed.
--Work with the software engineering and QA teams to ensure that product deliverables are
deployed, tested, measured and secured using scalable, automated techniques.
--Work with product management to establish acceptance criteria before production release.
--Work with QA team to establish test plans to meet release criteria.
--Provide end-to-end deploy automation services to QA/engineering and operations.
--Oversee the internal and external releases of Noesis products.
--Manage and monitor our development, testing, staging and production infrastructure.
Qualifications:
--5+ years experience in software development, integration or testing
--Working knowledge of source control systems such as SVN.
--Working knowledge of CI systems such as Team City or Hudson/Jenkins.
--Experience with UNIX shell scripting (bash, Perl) and windows automation.
--Experience with Apache HTTPD, IIS 7.x.
--Experience developing and streamlining complex, multi-party process flows
--Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services cloud platform is desirable
--Experience with MYSQL or MS SQL is highly desirable
--BS in Engineering, Computer Science or similar technical field preferred
