QA Software Test Engineer SmartDrive Systems
Primary Objective of Position:We are looking for a mid-level Software QA Engineer to come join our team of quality professionals. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding and practical experience with N-Tier application architectures, agile development methodologies, plus a very strong ASP.NET, IIS, and SQL Server database background. This position requires a technically-adept individual with excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Interpret functional requirements and design documents to plan, develop, write, and execute application functional and data validation test plans.
Estimate project effort, schedule and develop tasks according to agreed scope and development milestones in order to meet overall project timelines.
Execute multiple test activities spanning the SmartDrive product line to include, but not limited to, web site and windows services testing, localized PC app testing, Windows installers, web site GUI validation, database data integrity testing, parsing and computational server testing.
Coordinate with QA, Development and Product Management Leads and ensure proper delivery and execution of product/feature deliverables.
Participate in release activities with Hosted Operations and confirm successful delivery into production systems.
Coordinate and execute report validation projects utilizing OLTP, data warehouses and OLAP cubes presented in various formats such as SSRS and Tableau
With a full understanding of corporate goals manage multiple test projects, workloads and deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Job Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of three years of formal and organized quality assurance testing experience.
Must have a ?hands-on? approach.
Partnering skills to work collaboratively with software development teams and Hosted Operations personnel.
Must have demonstrated experience validating work products from SQL Server and Microsoft Server applications.li>
Strong understanding and demonstrated experienced with managing multiple IIS servers
Thorough understanding of PC- and server-based operating systems and tools.
Experience with Microsoft TFS and Red Gate tools
Experience with data analytics file processors a big plus
BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience is desired.
