Job Description

The QA Test Engineer will develop, publish and implement test plans and scripts (manual and automated) for a complex, multi-tier distributed application throughout the life cycle of application development. Responsible for participation in all aspects of testing (functional, regression load and system)and performing analysis of business requirements and software specifications. Will also develop Quality Assurance Standards and best practices as well as defining scope and objectives for all levels of QA and testing.
Experience and Skills

Responsibilities:



Participate in all aspects of testing - functional, regression load and system
Creates and implements test cases and test scripts.
Logs, tracks and verifies resolution of software defects
Introduce automation testing with commercial tools and scripts
Work with other team members to collaboratively find solutions for business needs
Work with internal clients to understand business requirements
Perform analysis exercises to extract details from business users
Exemplify professionalism in all business interactions

Requirements:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
3-5 years hands-on QA and testing experience, including test automation
Advanced courses in software quality assurance, test automation, and software reliability are a plus
Solid understanding and prior experience in all aspects of testing and QA methodology
Experience in a defect management system
Prior experience working in an agile environment
Prior experience in testing against formal requirements and test case creation and execution
Ability to multi-task with good decision-making, analytical and problem-solving abilities
