QA Web Application Engineer (Beijing) Qualys

The QA Web Application Test Engineer will develop both manual and automate test procedures for new and existing features, test web software expected and actual behavior, and prepare test reports. This will address functional as well as regression testing. The candidate will develop web test automation scripts with Quick Test Professional. The test engineer will be responsible for bug analysis which requires the ability to reproduce and isolate faults, and perform root cause investigation. The candidate will analyze and assess Oracle database data structure, content, referential integrity, and test DB migration/backup process.

This position is to be located in Beijing, China.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years QA test experience in a multi-site global development environment
  
• Strong knowledge of test automation methodology and frameworks
  
• Strong experience with of test tools. QTP exp is a must
  
• Programming/Scripting experience in SQL, shell, perl and/or php
  
• Experience testing web-based applications with multiple browsers (IE, FireFox, Mozilla, Safari, Netscape)
  
• Experienced with Apache web server and web application development
  
• Must be proficient with HTML, XML, HTTP and HTTPS protocol
  
• Knowledge of relational databases - Oracle 10g and above
  
• Must be a critical thinker with good verbal and written skills
  

Additional Plus Competencies:

• Software programming experience (VBScript)
  
• PHP and Javascript programming a huge plus
  
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux internals
  
• TCP/IP and network knowledge and troubleshooting
