Plateau is seeking a QC Automation Engineer to work out of our Headquarters office in Arlington, VA, supporting our Quality Control Automation division.
Job Duties include:
o Design, modify, develop, write and implement Java-based automated application tests
o Re-factor FLEX and HTML code
o Employcommonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in software development, particularly in J2EE
o Publish daily test results and track defects via PVCS tracker system
o Maintain the automated test integrated environment
o Install and configure test environments
o Enforce QC policy/practices
o Assume other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
o Bachelor of Science in Computer Sciences or equivalent is required
o 1 year of overall software development experience, at least 6 months of which is in java
o Excellent working knowledge of scripting, Java, J2EE, C++, and relational databases
o Working experience with front-end technologies including FLEX, HTML, DHTML, CSS, JSP and JavaScript
o Familiar with OOA/OOD, UML, design patterns and software development life cycle
o Working knowledge of application servers like Tomcat, JBoss, WebLogic or WebSphere
o In depth knowledge of various testing methodology is a plus
o Knowledge of LMS/LCMS and Data warehousing is a plus
o Knowledge of Load Runner and Performance testing is a plus
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Ability to work with minimal directions and effectively as a team member.
