Duties & Responsibilities Position Summary: Failure and Root Cause Analysis of Field Returns. Quality responsibility for New & Existing Products.
Conducts quality and failure analysis investigations of components, assemblies, and manufacturing processes utilizing quality problem solving techniques to optimize product availability, performance and reduce process variation.
Must be able to read and understand electrical circuit schematics and be conversant with RF principles and terminology.
Performs engineering level failure analysis of field return units ? with mindset of continuous field performance improvements. Board-level and component-level debug experience is a must.
Able to pick and drive closure to HW and SW issues affecting product performance. Requires generating needed test scenarios, collecting data, and collaborating with appropriate individuals and suppliers internally and externally.
Drives timely and clean improvements, inclusive of the process, parts, and the needed design changes resulting from the analysis process.
Creates appropriate process and quality documentation in conjunction with cross-functional counterparts.
Develops effective feedback mechanism within LitePoint community to ensure proactive improvements.
Develops effective field report format, drives automation, publishes data, and makes scheduled presentations to the management team.
Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required
Minimum BS Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
The successful candidate will have 2-5 years of industry experience in failure analysis, test, and product improvement activities. Requires 1-2 years experience in RF products, processes, and failure analysis activities.
Able to spot, lead, and drive opportunities to closure.
Connectivity (WiFi, BT, etc.) and Cellular test system & application knowledge is highly desirable.
Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities required.
A team player with tactful communication skills.
A persistent attention to detail, and a high level of comfort in working with investigative nature of activities.
