Job Summary
The Quality Assurance Analyst reports to and is under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager. This role develops, publishes and implements test plans; writes and maintains test automation; develops quality assurance standards; and defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts. This role requires experience using quality assurance methodologies for the entire project life cycle, and familiarity with Microsoft Windows environments. This role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, performs a variety of tasks, and works under general supervision.
Our Quality Assurance team promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization by integrating quality assurance into the requirements and design process for each product release.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Develops and implements quality assurance standards, processes, and controls.
Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to established guidelines.
Creates automated test scripts using the Automated QA testing tool.
Maintains status reports and updates stakeholders on testing progress and results.
Writes, revises and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently.
Reviews new and modified programs, including specifications, diagrams and flow charts, to determine if a program will perform according to user request and conforms to guidelines.
Recommends program improvements and corrections to programmers.
Writes and maintains test automation.

Qualifications and Skills
QA professional with 5+ years of experience testing Web-based and Windows-based client-server software products
Must have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies
3 - 5 years Microsoft SQL, Stored Procedures experience
Experience with SQA automation tools and the proven ability to learn and apply new tools and processes as needed
Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills
Strong quantitative skills
Bachelor's degree in IT, IS, math, computer science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience in the healthcare field a plus
