Quality Assurance Analyst: EDI RedTail Solutions
RedTail Solutions, a leading EDI and eCommerce service provider, is seeking a well-rounded, team-oriented QA Analyst to test our software and service offerings. This dynamic, self-starter will work as a member of the Product Development team testing the client software applications, integration middleware and hosted services that comprise RedTail's EDI solution. They will also work with the rest of the Dev team to develop our QA program from the ground up (designing QA processes, developing automation systems and building a virtualized test environment).
Responsibilities:
Responsible for all QA testing of core product platform and all accounting system interfaces
Responsible for developing test data for use in executing test cases
Develop and execute test plans (unit, system, regression, etc.), test cases and scripts. Manage defect tracking and confirm resolution
Design and implementation of QA processes, including test plans/strategy, test cases, schedules and test coverage/execution reports
Must be able to translate requirements/use cases into test cases
Participate in development reviews throughout the development life cycle
Installation, configuration and maintenance of the VMware based virtual QA test lab in support of all testing activities.
Juggle the activities of multiple projects while working in a team environment with architects, developers and operations personnel to ensure the timely delivery of quality products into production.
Make recommendations for and incorporate the use of automated testing tools
Develop QA best practices
Qualifications:
3 years experience in a Quality Assurance role
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Required Skills:
Experience with software QA processes and manual and automated testing
Highly motivated, self-directed attitude that is detail and process-oriented
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Able to work well as part of a team, and also take ownership of, and work independently to solve problems and complete projects on time.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little direct supervision
Ability to learn new tools, solutions and systems quickly.
Proven knowledge of EDI and XML standards and associated communication protocols
Thorough knowledge of Microsoft operating systems (server and workstation)
Bonus Attributes:
Exposure to a major Mid-Market ERP application (Sage MAS 90/200, Microsoft Dynamics GP, etc.)
Knowledge of order fulfillment workflows and their associated business and technical requirements
Microsoft SQL Server
Application development skills: XML, .NET, VB, VBScript, Javascript, etc.
Knowledge of Microsoft BizTalk Server
