Job Description
OEM Engineering is seeking a QA Analyst II with Six Sigma certification to work with across all of our Agile teams and implement a continuous improvement culture within the organization. This position will be responsible for supervising and monitoring offshore testing activities and tracking quality levels within the US based development teams.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
Generates test metrics for all four teams within the organization, participates in all iteration reviews and continuously looks for holes in test coverage and test plans.
Works with QA and Development Engineers to flush out product requirements and related test scenarios before product has been coded in an Agile environment
Writes integration test plans to execute test scenarios including environment selection
Assesses which test cases need to be written and/or updated before code is delivered
Seeks to find defects in all stages of development and drive to root cause and solid steps to reproduce
Asks the hard and un-popular questions.
Required Skills
Thorough understanding of Six Sigma quality principles
Ability to write end to end system and integration test cases.
Ability to quickly review test cases and providing feedback to other QA analysts
Understanding of Automation and Unit test principles to determine when automation is or is not effective
Excellent written and verbal communication
Attention to detail and standards when testing
Intermediate knowledge of the Windows operating system family starting with Win2K3 and XP.
Basic understanding of network topology and elements (Active Directory, Proxy servers, SSL, etc.)
Intermediate knowledge of non-Windows operating systems
Prior experience with virtualization technologies is required
Required Experience
4 year degree in Math, Science or Technology is required
Documented Six Sigma certification
3-5 years in a Quality Assurance role, either automation or manual tester
Has generated at least 2-3 test plans for a component of a product release and/or the product release itself.
Produced documentation of test results for group and stakeholder review that is professional in appearance
