Quality Assurance Analyst Reval

About the Position:The Quality Assurance Analyst at Reval participates in various testing activities for the Reval web-based application including integration testing, regression testing, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, client portfolio regression testing, and performance testing. They are also responsible for preparation and execution of test cases and data and analysis of results, and monitoring and validating production issues reported to the team. Analysts will participate in process documentation and compliance activities in order to ensure that periodic external audits result in favorable assessments.
Responsibilities:
Review system functional, non-functional requirements and defect reports to create test plans and cases to ensure overall quality
Use software development lifecycle tools and methodologies through QA process
Ensure quality assurance practices, procedures and audits are followed
Participate in test planning, execution and validation of vendor software and other integrated systems
Develop requirements traceability matrix to ensure appropriate level of test coverage
Participate in use case reviews and prototype design sessions
Identify, analyze and document all defects and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specifications by providing meaningful defect reports within the defect tracking system
Participate in automated load testing, user acceptance and regression testing
Validate test results and maintain performance and operational metrics
Understand business processes and assist business users in validating application functionality
Prioritize work effort & ensure that tasks are completed on schedule to meet business initiatives
Identify and Implement improvements in test methods, strategies and tools
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years experience in Financial Software, Quality Assurance related fields
Extensive experience in developing test strategies, test planning and test management
Solid knowledge of QA methodologies and processes and sound understanding of functional, regression, performance, load and stress testing methods
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with test tools for test management, software automation, requirements traceability, defect tracking, etc.
Experienced professionals working in an IT Product/Service company.
Experience with Cash Management, IR, FX, Commodities derivatives products will be a plus.
