Job Description:Position Summary
We are seeking an exceptionally bright and motivated individual to complement our Quality Assurance team in New York as a QA Analyst. In this role you will support day to day efforts to analyze, document and test various features of our system. In addition, you will play an integral role in analyzing, investigating and reporting on issues/bugs uncovered during the testing cycle.
Responsibilities
Testing, analyzing and troubleshooting Trading front ends
Writing, reviewing and implementing test plans and test cases (both manual and automated)?
Communicating software defects using the bug tracking system
Performing integration, functional, performance and regression testing?
Automating major flows of the application.?
Required Education/Experience
2 to 3 years of experience in software QA/testing
Financial industry experience in at least one of the following: Equities, FI, FX, Options, Futures, OMS?
Understanding and experience with Automation tools
Very strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills?
Excellent written and verbal English
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle
Preferred Skills:
Desired Knowledge Base/Background
Familiarity with development tools such as SVN?
Knowledge of software build and release management processes (e.g. maintaining the QA environment)
Some Perl and/?or Java programming experience
Experience working with databases (SQL, MySQL)
Experience with UNIX environments and standard UNIX utilities.
