The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is required to develop, maintain and administer a suite of automated tests to assure the quality of existing functionality on the regular basis. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be focused on the continuously administration of the regression tests for all production applications and reporting to the product teams about the state of quality at any given time throughout the sprint cycle. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is also expected to contribute to the development and enhancement of the overall automation framework, within which the regressions tests are administered. The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer will be interfacing with a variety of groups across multiple departments to ensure the software releases are ready for production deployment.
This position will be located in Alpharetta, Georgia.
Job Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills complemented with an enthusiastic demeanor and the ability to work in a fast paced environment. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
? Review requirements with Product Management and Development for testability.
? Work closely with product developers to ensure that the code complies with automation requirements.
? Develop and maintain automated test cases based on existing test scripts
? Assist with documentation of the regression test library.
? Contribute to the development of the automation framework.
? Administer regression tests and publish the results
? Assist with Load/Performance testing.
? Participate in daily scrum meetings for defect status, priority and information exchange.
? Assist with the configurations and build deployments to the test systems.
? Participate in Production testing.
Job Requirements /Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline required.
? 2 ? 5 years of experience in a systems quality environment or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
? Proficient in Javascript.
? Proficient on one or more of the server side languages (Python, Java, C#).
? Experience developing and/or extending automation frameworks.
? Working knowledge of Robot framework or similar.
? Experience developing automated tests using open source tools.
? Working knowledge of Selenium Web Driver and/or Phantom JS.
? Experience in testing web applications in an AGILE development environment.
? Experience with Test Management systems (Rally or Jira).
? Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server) and no-SQL databases (MongoDB).
? Experience with automated API testing using XML/JSON and Javascript.
? Working knowledge of JMeter or similar tools.
? Knowledge of SOAP UI and Load UI.
? Experience with automated UI testing.
? Experience with web servers (IIS preferred).
? Must possess strong analytical skills.
? Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
? Ability to communicate with multiple departments in understanding new requirements and resolving issues.
? Ability to multitask and be flexible with changing task assignments.
? Prior experience in e-commerce, telco/cable/satellite, and utility/home-services industries is a plus.
