SilkRoad is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer to work closely with developers, support, and product marketing to read product specifications and identify test cases to cover usability, functionality and regression testing for the RedCarpet product line and any dependent tools.
Develops test plans based on test strategy, use cases, and product needs.
Verifies product changes introduced in each release and performs automated regression testing.
Acts as additional resource as product expert responding to internal questions on functional behavior.
Reviews business requirements and software system designs for testability and validation of the identified business requirements.
Communicates testing activities and findings in oral and written formats.
Supports test lead to identify risks and to develop mitigation strategies.
Plans and coordinates work activities to ensure completing of tasks and projects.
Proficient knowledge and experience in all phases of software QA and release management processes and systems.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team based environment.
Ability to evaluate risk and assess impact of identified issues
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem resolution abilities.
Proficient in managing and configuring VMs.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science required.
Minimum of 5 years of related experience required.
Experience with testing at different levels (unit, functional, integration, system load and performance testing) required.
Experience with test automation development, maintenance, and tools (QTP, WinRunner) required.
Experience on commercial SAAS software, preferred.
Experience in working on large, time sensitive, software development projects, preferred.
