QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER Brivo Systems
Brivo is seeking a full time Quality Assurance Automation Engineer / Tester to join our team in Bethesda reporting to the Director of Engineering. The qualified candidate must be well-rounded
and familiar with the growing technology landscape and desires to contribute in a fast-paced multiplatform environment. We need someone as passionate about helping our customers as they are
passionate about technology and good engineering practices. You will be responsible for creating
and executing plans and procedures used to ensure high levels of quality for complex applications
including hardware, web and mobile.
Responsibilities
? Work with QA Engineers and Software Developers to deliver high-quality platform updates, new
web-based features/products, and new mobile initiatives.
? Translate product specifications, wireframes, and mockups into comprehensive test cases.
? Execute manual test scenarios and provide detailed feedback for functional bugs or usability
issues.
? Develop innovative solutions and techniques for automated testing.
Qualifications
? 1-3 Years QA Experience
? Passion for software quality, QA methodologies, testing techniques, and internet technologies.
? Working knowledge of testing frameworks and test automation, such as Watir or Selenium.
? You function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and
the bar for quality is high.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
? You know that ensuring a good customer experience trumps testing to the spec, because
sometimes even the specs have bugs.
? Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
? Demonstrate self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.
? Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, well-organized way.
Pluses
? Experience with Ruby or another Scripting language.
? Working knowledge of SQL.
? Experience with Jira or other bug tracking suites.
? Comfortable enough with Linux to set-up and maintain your own QA environment
