Fiberlink Communications, Inc., is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to participate in the development and testing of our Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.

Primary roles will include:
Working with product management, product engineering, and development teams to design, implement, and test new products and features
Work closely with the Software Development team to identify and resolve issues both during development and testing cycles
Develop/Author test cases based on product requirement documents.
Perform manual and automated end-to-end testing based on new and existing test scripts
File and resolve defects reported against the software products.
Assist the Customer Support, Customer Engineering, and Sales teams with issues encountered by current and prospective customers
Develop tools and processes that aid in the speed and efficiency of Quality Assurance testing efforts.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate technical proficiency and possess excellent analytical and communication skills. They must have a strong desire to work in a fast-paced environment while enjoying the process of finding bugs and improving the quality of software. A background in technical support or development is ideal for this position.
Technical Skills Required/Desired:
Platform/Operating System knowledge of Unix, Windows (XP, 7 and Server), MAC, iOS, Android, and Blackberry
Experience with platform based web technologies such as oracle db, Apache Tomcat, s.
Experience testing and troubleshooting web based applications.
Enterprise knowledge of Exchange, Lotus Traveler, Active Directory, Certificate Authorities, Networking, Proxy, and Blackberry Enterprise Server
Testing and troubleshooting skills across the previously mentioned technical domains
Experience in Development and QA testing a big plus.
Experience with SQL and scripting languages such as Python a plus
Operations/Support Skills Required:
Passion for testing software and finding bugs as well as suggesting ways for product improvement.
Excellent cross team communication and documentation skills
Demonstrated ability to learn new skills quickly and convey learnings to other team members.
Ability to ?own? projects and take pride in responsibility for ensuring the best products and experience for our customers
Flexibility of schedule to assist in product deployments during off peak hours
Qualifications:
Two to five years of experience in IT field (support, development, quality assurance)
Hands on experience with usage and testing of web based and/or mobile applications.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience in some form of software development (scripting language experience is acceptable)
Knowledge of the following is desired but not required: ActiveSync, Lotus Traveler , PowerShell Scripting, 802.1x, TCP/IP networking, VPN technologies (IPSec and SSL), automation technologies, mind maps.
