Quality Assurance Engineer International Catastrophe Insurance
This position will assist with the development and implementation of programs and procedures to ensure that all internally developed and third-party software and services meet all company standards and requirements.
Review Business Requirement (BRS) and System Requirement Specifications (SRS).
Consult with ICAT personnel to analyze, evaluate and verify requirements.
Create test cases and test data.
Develop automated test scripts.
Perform automated and manual testing of ICAT applications.
Maintain existing automated test framework / develp new automated test framework
Document and follow up on issues found in ICAT applications.
Work collaboratively with other ICAT personnel to resolve application and system issues.
Assist in application data verification.
Assist in the development and implementation of test strategies and test plans.
Assist in preparing and maintaining testing program documentation.
Other duties as assigned.
Works under the general supervision of the QA Manager.

At least five years of software test experience.
Experience testing web applications.
Database experience with MSSQL and Oracle.
Solid working knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
Experience maintaining/creating automated testing framework preferred.
Experience with Ruby/Watir preferred but experience with any programming language is a plus.
Understanding of SDLC change management concepts including code branching, version control, audit process and oversight.
Experience within financial and insurance business models is a plus.
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience.
Licenses or Designations
Able to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.
Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis.
Able to perform general office administrative activities: copying, filing, delivering and using the telephone.
Able to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Mental Work Demands
Regular and on-time attendance.
Hours regularly exceed 40 hours per week.
Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like within the region and to other locations as required.
