Quality Assurance Engineer for Software Engineering Products PreEmptive Solutions

We are searching for individuals who are interested in working with cutting edge software engineering technology from Microsoft. You will have the opportunity to work with software engineering projects using all facets of the Microsoft development platform including (but not limited to) ASP.NET, C, Visual Basic, Silverlight, Windows Phone, Xbox and the IL along with new breaking technology before it becomes available to the public.

PreEmptive Solutions works closely with Microsoft developing software engineering tools which provide obfuscation (code protection) and application analytics. Our products ship in the box with Microsofts Visual Studio platform. We also provide obfuscation for the Java platform and application analytics for most development platforms.

We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for testing and ensuring high quality our software engineering products, tools and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applies software testing best practices and procedures to ensure quality of products
Develops software testing requirements, test cases, and test plans
Creates test scripts for automated testing
Creates and maintains test environments and test data
Analyzes software features to ensure they meet the functional requirements desired
Analyzes performance of features to ensure they are within acceptable guidelines
Reviews user interface and experience to ensure consistency and ease of use
Reports software defects in appropriate detail to clearly identify defects and how they are replicated
Creates clearly documented plans, designs and results
Contributes to the creation of reasonable and accurate work estimates
Works independently, with general instructions on assignments
Works closely with Support Team to reproduce and document defects
Works closely with Software Engineers to create test plans and resolve defects

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

2 or more years of experience testing software products
Knowledge of software quality assurance principles, methods, and processes
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to object oriented programming
Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio
Strong analytical, problem identification and reporting skills
Excellent communications skills
Self-Motivated Team Player
