Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) is responsible for verifying the quality of the Infusionsoft application. The QA Engineers primary role is to ensure a high-quality software product. Te QAEs focus will primarily be manual testing with some automated testing as appropriate. The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing and writing test cases that adequately test all functionality of the product under test. As test cases are run and defects encountered the QAE will be expected to appropriately document each defect and ensure that it has been properly repaired by the Development team. The QAE will also work with the Product Support team to verify and report customer reported defects.
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and write effective manual test cases
- Design a test plan that addresses all functionality of the portion of the product under test
- Run test cases according to the test plan
- Identify and report any and all defects
- Verify that all reported defects have been repaired, keeping an eye out for any regression errors
- Submit design change requests as appropriate
- Work with Product Support to address customer reported defect
- Interact with the various Development teams
- Produce and run automated tests
- Effectively communicate project status to management and others
Requirements Needed:
- 3+ years as a software tester
- Experience with SaaS and web-based software
- A solid understanding of industry toolsets (e.g., Mercury/HP Quality Center, Test Director, QuickTest Professional, LoadRunner or similar tools)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A can-do attitude
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years as a software tester
- Bachelors degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
- Passion for software quality as a discipline
- Experience testing web-based, database driven, SaaS, and client-server distributed applications
- Industry acknowledged software quality certifications
- Experience designing, writing, running, and maintaining automated tests
- Experience testing in an Agile/Scrum development environment
- Experience working as a member of an embedded software development team
