The Quality Assurance Engineer II works as a member of the QA team to evaluate and test new or modified software program. This position may own complete products and/or functional area and will write, review, verify and execute test cases. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Proactive approaches to testing and good communication skills are musts
Job Responsibilities Include:
Provide reasonable and accurate time estimates for tasks, and consistently meet deadlines.
Suggest innovative solutions to technical problems.
Work with other QA Engineers to create scenarios as well as system, integration, and regression test cases and apply these against developed software to ensure quality.
Work with other QA Engineers, managers, software engineers, technical writers, and technical operations team members, to ensure quality and the successful rollout of new applications or features.
Conducts audits and review/analyzes data and documentation.
Follow existing standards in daily work. (e.g. coding standards and design standards).
Help define and evolve quality assurance standards, guidelines, procedures, processes, and metrics.
Contribute to project reports or customer driven evaluations.
Execute on other assignments as directed.
Required:
3 ?5 years of QA experience
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent field, Preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective in fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot challenging defects.
Ability to communicate inputs and ideas within collaborative sessions, presentations, and in written form to a range of audiences with wide ranges of technical knowledge and ability.
Working knowledge of software usability, N-tier architectures, Web services, SQL Databases and LDAP Directories with the ability to create robust test cases that ensure that the software being tested meets the business requirements.
Solid work estimation skills.
Working knowledge of software development lifecycle.
Experience in any of the following areas a plus: .NET/C#/ASP.NET, VB, webMethods, SQL Server, EDI
