Netronome Systems, Inc. seeks a Quality Assurance Engineer (multiple openings) to work in our offices in Cranberry Township, PA to perform whitebox and blackbox testing of the company's hardware and software products. Build test software to expose Application Program Interface (API) defects in production level code as well as defects at the component and feature levels. Specific duties include: (a) reviewing engineering technical specifications and attending review meetings; (b) meeting with developers to discuss technical aspects of features; (c) designing and building testing tools for automated unit, functional, and performance testing; (d) developing Linux and Windows-based test applications to exercise and validate firmware and embedded software; (e) defining and executing test procedures; (f) working with developers on reproducing and researching defects; (g) tracking and managing defects on a day-to-day basis; (h) setting up and maintaining lab test environments; (i) providing Quality Assurance support for field trials of various products; and (j) participating in all activities accordingly to ensure on-time deliverables are met, including day-to-day planning and coordination with other QA engineers and software/hardware developers.Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field required. In lieu of a Master's degree, will accept Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate/progressively responsible software engineering experience. Must know (through academic coursework or work experience) C/C++ programming and scripting (Perl or Python or Shell); Linux open source development (gcc, g++, and make) and networking protocols (TCP/IP or UDP or SSL).
