The Role ? Software Quality Assurance Engineer, Marketing Cloud
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud engineering team is looking for an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer with strong programming and automation skills to work in a team responsible for developing automation and testing the next generation features for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud product.
The Quality Engineer will also create, document, implement and maintain test scripts for complex on-demand functionality in Marketing Cloud applications area. You should be self directed, team oriented, know and care what the customer wants from our service. This position requires healthy doses of initiative and flexibility in a very dynamic environment. You should like to break things, be exhilarated when you discover that really complicated bug, and be detail-oriented enough that you've actually had people comment on it.
Responsibilities
Create test plans and test cases using a test case management system
Plan, design and enhance automation test frameworks
Execute both manual and automated tests
Automate test cases
Validate code changes against existing test suites
Investigate test and production failures
Participate in product and feature design with developers
Work with software engineers to analyze test results and debug problems
Communicate effectively and regularly with Project Managers, Front-end and Back-end developers regarding project status
Support product deployments to production environments
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in software QA and automation testing of application interfaces
Knowledge & understanding of software testing best practices
Java, C++ or other object oriented programming languages is strongly desired
Experience with test automation, i.e. SoapUI, Selenium or any other test automation framework that relies on object oriented languages
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and working experience in Agile environment is strongly desired
Ability to adapt to short sprint cycles (2-4 weeks) and experienced in the full software lifecycles
Experience with Linux systems is desired
Great attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects in complex software features
Experience in large-scale software deployments
Excellent communication skills required
Experience with performance testing is desired
Motivated self-starter with the ability and drive to perform in a fast-paced environment, with multiple tasks, deadlines and changing priorities
