Quality Assurance Engineer Medialets

The POSITION:

He/she will be responsible for defining, documenting and executing software test processes utilizing test scripts and other automation techniques as well as performing hands-on test validation.

Work closely with engineering and product teams to define new and regression test cases and better the quality of software and services through unit, system, and acceptance testing.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Developed QA protocols and established standards and guidelines for QA Department. Assisted with growing the department by hiring additional QA support analysts. Turned product definition into test case.

Automated testing on mobile devices through scripting and third party tools. Utilized SQL and relational data structures and code in multiple languages (Java, Objective-C.).

Reviewed Javascript and CSS code in ad bundles. Troubleshoot production issues .

At least one year?s experience with HTML, SQL, Unix, Linux, MySQL, JIRA, Apache servers and Agile methodology, as well as software, data, scalability and web application testing. Must have working knowledge of iPhone OS, Javascript & CSS.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop innovative solutions for automated testing strategies and quality assurance of our systems and products.
Provide sound feedback to engineering teams and enforce that business requirements are being met in the product.
Support and improve our tools for continuous integration, automated testing and release management.
Build and sanity test release binaries (mobile client and server-side).
Load and stress test client and server products (by utilizing tools such as JMeter, Android Monkey, Frank, etc).
Maintain the build process to support ongoing R&D.
Handle special projects as assigned

ABOUT YOU:

BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years experience in software engineering in test, quality assurance, and/or release engineering.
Proficient in refactoring, test automation, emergent design, testable and modular code, build infrastructure, test-driven development, and/or iterative development.
Strong familiarity with automated testing tools and experience in taking product definitions (use cases/stories, requirements, etc) and turning them into test cases
Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems. GIT experience highly desired.
Strong interest in mobile and able to work well in a team-oriented, client-focused environment.
Server side products: extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux. Client side products: extensive knowledge of multiple client OS's, such as iPhone/Android/Windows Phone 7/Adobe AIR for mobile.
Skill with one or more scripting languages and SQL. Python and SQLite experience highly desired.
Experience with code signing and build management tools (make, scons, ant).
Experience building/coding Objective C, C++ or Java applications is a plus.
