Trustwave, a leader in cloud-based compliance and information security solutions, announces an opening for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join Trustwave's QA Team in Pittsburgh.
Trustwave seeks a full-time quality assurance engineer to participate in the development and maintenance of data-security products. As part of the QA Team, the candidate will be expected to take ownership of quality assurance and testing for new and existing product features, and should have a background that provides evidence of an ability to perform that function in a software company.
The candidate should have at least some, and preferably many, of the following:
QA experience with a track record of planning and executing test plans
Experience programming in an object-oriented language
Strong knowledge of Unix and Windows, beyond the longtime-casual-user level
Opinions, backed up by experience, about the software-development lifecycle
B.S. in computer science or related field
Experience working with a software-development team in both successful and unsuccessful development efforts
Prior experience with data security or encryption products
Scripting experience with perl or other scripting language
General skills:
Self-starter with ability to prioritize many projects and problems independently, as they arise
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills a must
