Quality Assurance Engineer APRIVA

JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to evaluate and test developed software systems using automated tools.


RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Converting existing manual test cases into automated test cases
Writing test cases from requirements for future automation
Develop automation strategy for projects
Maintaining and execute suites of test scripts on multiple builds in multiple environments
Able to manage change control on all platform and script software
Develop and support Quality Assurance test tools
Design test harnesses and work with development for automation hooks
Create automation processes, test results and reports
Evaluating and testing developed software systems to verify programs function according to user requirements and established Quality Assurance process.
Writing, reviewing, revising and verifying quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation.
Participating in review of standards, procedures, tools and processes and assisting in solving quality assurance issues and working collectively to solve defects.
Logging defects and validating fixes for acceptance and documenting results
Testing applications by creating test data to thoroughly test program functionality
Executing moderate to complex system tests
Maintaining Quality Assurance / Software Test documentation in an efficient and timely manner according to departmental standards and procedures.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance processes, standards and procedures
Other duties as may be required.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or equivalent experience.
Automation experience is required
Experience with scripting language is required, Perl is a plus
Experience with a web services and web based tools such as Silk is a plus
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, database browsing tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate
Organized, detail-oriented and multi-task capable.
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong problem solving skills.
