What you will be doing:FitLinxx has developed partnerships with all of the major fitness equipment manufacturers in the world. These partners certify their fitness equipment on the FitLinxx network so that exercise data from their machines can be sent wirelessly to FitLinxx to track their workouts. Connecting fitness equipment to the FitLinxx system is at the center of the FitLinxx network and is critical to FitLinxx?s success. We are looking for a high-energy QA Engineer to manage the fitness equipment certification process. You will be responsible for:
The overall Cardiovascular (CV) Certification process.
Supporting FitLinxx Equipment Partners (FEP) on implementing CSAFE (Communications Standard for All Fitness Equipment) to integrate with FitLinxx fitness facility product.
Creating and maintaining internal and partner CV test procedures, tools, and documentation.
Training and supporting partner CSAFE developers as needed.
Managing CV Machine / Console data in the FitLinxx Catalog.
Effectively communicating status, issues, and ongoing certification progress through the use of defect tracking system (Support Logix), e-mail, and other mechanisms as needed.
Communicating the status of all pending certifications to FitLinxx internal customers (sales, operations), and FEP?s.
Troubleshooting CV Issues with internal Help Desk as needed.
In this position you will also have the opportunity to test our Facility based systems. These include the Member Website, the Facility Training Partner, and the Management Station used by instructors to set up members.
What You Need:
Experience integrating and testing software applications as part of hardware deliverables.
Experience writing test cases and test plans.
Computer Science or Engineering background.
Good problem solving skills, ability to analyze test results and debug problems.
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills.
Networking (Basic knowledge of Networks, IP network programming, familiarity with Routers).
Familiarity with test, client/server and WEB applications.
Preferred Skills:
Some Programming skills, ability to write and execute test scripts.
Fitness industry knowledge.
Some Database skills (SQL, SQL Server).
