We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can join a small, dynamic team working on a break-through product in a start-up environment and contribute immediately. We are in the process of going to market with a new product that scales out existing relational databases. Scaling is on demand with the power of multiple database servers acting as one. We would like to add a quality assurance skill set to our Product Development team. This position reports to the VP, Product Development and will be responsible for functional, system and performance testing of our product.Responsibilities include:
Develop overall quality goals for the product and an automated process for measuring progress against these goal
Work with product engineers to understand the implications on overall quality and testing plans of deliverables
Develop test specifications and plans to validate new features
Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other artifacts such as test code, data and scripts.
Develop, maintain and report on an automated performance test environment
Develop and manage a process to ensure released product meets quality goals
Manage and maintain the company development operations infrastructure
Requirements:
Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
3+ years of relevant QA technical experience
Expertise in testing systems using relational databases; preferably with experience in MySQL
Expertise in testing systems written in Java; preferably with experience with Java and JUnit
Experience with Linux, Eclipse, Java, SQL and maven preferred
