This is a full-time position for a Quality Assurance Lead with Professional Services experience. This person will have experience in several different software lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.,) to guide our customers on the testing of our product(s). The candidate will also have experience in leading teams of two to ten quality assurance engineers internationally and domestically.
This person will work in a matrixed organization with software developers, business analysts and project managers and report directly to the Director of Quality Assurance. The person will be the evangelist for our quality assurance methodologies and driving the end game to ensure our clients success.
The QA Lead will have deep knowledge in software testing methodology and the system development life cycle. The analyst lead will be responsible for leading a testing team of 2 to 10 QA engineers and will be the point person for all testing needs. QA Lead will be a hands-on person and will participate in all testing phases. In addition, QA Lead will also be the primary point of contact for communication with customers on all testing related matters. Participation in requirements and design specification reviews and technical documentation reviews is essential to performing these duties. The QA Lead will also help prioritize defects using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the customer. This Lead person will ensure all entry and exit criteria are met before delivering the product to the customer.
Finally this person will drive change across the PSO organization. They will create the standards for the following Quality Assurance Standards such as the test case design approach, traceability and metrics reporting. These standards will be adopted by every PSO Forward Development and Maintenance Team projects.

--Assess our current quality coverage, methods, systems and goals.
--Responsible for identifying new quality initiatives enhance existing processes and supporting procedures for quality management, quality metrics, and release management.
--Detail oriented with strong problem solving, trouble shooting and analytical skills.
--Able to drive down to the root cause of software failures and communicate to project team members.
--Strong initiative seeking out requirements and testing scope.
--Able to manage time effectively and communicate potential issues proactively.

--Dependable team player with ability to take charge, focus and prioritize.
--Excellent at reporting accurate and timely status of projects/releases/builds.
--Own the FirstBest quality strategy for manual testing as well as automation.
--Manage rigorous, predictable, metric-driven quality execution.
--Able to lead the client in test case design, test case walk through and be the QA authority internally and externally.
--Implement QA standards and continue improving testing activities.
--Practical working knowledge of software testing methodology.
--Exceptional analytic and problem solving skills.
--Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
--Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
--Insurance Industry knowledge a plus
--3+ years of experience in leading testing teams
--5+ years designing and implementing test cases, test scenarios and conditions
--HP Quality Center
--Flex application knowledge a plus
--B.S. in Engineering or Computer Science
--Any certification relating to testing a plus
