The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for the planning and execution of test efforts as related to systems, releases, fixes and enhancements, including documentation, reporting, analysis and acceptance. Partners with Project Managers, project team and functional business leader to steer projects to success. Performs analysis of applications and platforms for compatibility. Ensures adherence to quality standards.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills and Experience
?6+ years of experience with QA testing on ERP or Web application systems.
?Excellent communication skills required to document and report on defects and other software issues.
?Must have strong diagnostic skills to properly test software and measure the quality of the product.
?Must have a technical background to be able to create proper testing scenarios from the functional requirements and detail specifications.
?Strong problem-solving ability.
?Must have 2 years functional UNIX and Linux operating system (HPUX and/or AIX) experience
?Programming knowledge Java based OO technologies an asset.
?Experience with web-based database applications preferred.
?Experience with VMware preferred.
?Experience with automation tools.
?Experience with MSSQL, Informix, or Oracle ideal.
?Experience with Glassfish, JBOSS or Apache HTTP Server ideal.
?Must be able to take direction well but work independently, and have the ability to learn and assimilate information quickly.
?Must demonstrate a positive and professional attitude, personal integrity, problem solving ability, and the ability to handle stress.
?Undergraduate degree or equivalent with 6 or more years of experience.
?Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
?Minimum of 6 years experience with Quality Assurance and testing software.
?Previous higher education experience preferred.
?Quality Assurance Institute Certifications or American Society of Quality Certifications desired.
? Solid people management skills. Must be a strong team leader and have good interpersonal skills that can foster, demonstrate, and promote excellence in a team environment.
?Responsible for Leadership, setting direction and standards (25%) and Quality Assurance Testing (75%) duties within the product development team
?Evaluates and tests new or modified software programs and software development procedures used to verify that programs function according to user requirements and conform to establishment guidelines.
?Executes complex tests according to established plans and scripts, documents problems in an issue log and retests software corrections to ensure problems are resolved.
?Reviews new or modified programs, including documentation, diagrams, and flowcharts, to determine if program will perform according to user request and conform to guidelines.
?Tests program for validity of results, accuracy, reliability, and conformance to establishment standards.
?May review computer operating logs to identify program processing errors.
?Evaluates, implements and uses automated testing tools to increase the speed and functionality tested in the system.
?Partners with PD and QA team to educate, guide and audit the distributed QA process and execution.
?Ensures the consistent adoption and utilization of common terms, artifacts, tools, technologies and communications as related to IT Quality Assurance within Jenzabar.
?Develops and updates QA/Software Testing documentation in an efficient and timely manner according to departmental standards and procedures.
?Attends and verifies that walk-through meetings are conducted on code changes.
?Documents the online system and testing procedures, allowing information to be shared with new members of the group trying to learn or test the system.
?Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to ascertain quality of software.
?May identify differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggest modifications to conform to standards.
?May conduct compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs.
?Other duties as required.
