Zipscene needs to control the quality of its product or service. The Quality Assurance (QA) department manager helps the business remain productive and profitable by implementing and monitoring programs that ensure continuous quality.This manager leads company?s efforts to maintain continuous product or service quality by implementing process controls, data analysis and measurement devices. This professional is also in charge of PCI certification, and must ensure that the designation is maintained by conducting inspections and performing audits.
The QA manager will fulfill: developing and performing tests; implementing statistics and process control tools; directing and supervising vendor-supplied code; and maintaining effective compliance and corrective action procedures.
The quality assurance manager will supervise a department. In this capacity, they are often responsible for recruiting, hiring and training staff. They may direct employees in matters of quality and inspection, and assist in disciplining personnel when standards are not met. Writing reports, surveys and quality audits for management or external clients is another important function of the quality assurance manager.
Demonstrated experience managing a QA department within a SaaS or PaaS software company
Demonstrate proficiency in quality assurance methodologies and procedures
Establishing quality assurance and quality control policies in accordance with best practices
Define benchmarks and measures
Ensure proper coordination and collaboration with technical teams
Develop and execute test plans
Identify and facilitate issue resolution with functional and technical groups
Manage software beta test programs
Document test results
Proficiency with Selenium testing tool
Minimum 4 year college degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering fields.
1 plus years of senior lead or departmental management experience.
4 plus years of QA Review Analyst work experience with a proven track record of success.
Hands on experience monitoring and maintaining QA processes for Programs, Projects, Releases, and smaller work items.
Experience working within a successful ?Delivery Enabling? PMO supporting reviews of actual delivery against best practice relating to Portfolio, Program & Project Management.
Experience in Agile, Lean and other software development methodologies.
Ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders across functions and at all levels of the organization to deliver successful outcomes.
Experience providing a service to business facing relationship managers.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working within software development IT organization is preferred.
