QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER BaySpec
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily testing activities, reporting, and communications Lead ongoing qualification and reliability activities with a focus on monitoring, metrics, and manufacturability
- Collaborate with various functions to drive root cause and corrective actions on complex quality issues
- Interact with customers, domestic and international
- Drive and monitor quality improvements in product lines and coordinate with engineering development
- Develop and incorporate appropriate disciplines and processes to design for qualification, maintain and improve reliability benchmarks
- Maintain ISO certification and implement quality controls
Requirements:
- Qualified candidate will have BS and/or MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, and/or equivalent discipline; a minimum of 5-7 years of experience required
- Comprehensive knowledge of appropriate Telcordia, ETSI, ISO, and appropriate MIL standards
- Demonstrative track record in leading products through qualification and deployment
- Knowledgeable in FIT calculations and FMEA Practical experience in solving material science issues required
- Experience with telecommunication products required, ideally with optical components or photonic subsystems
- Broad experience with semiconductor, fiber optics, opto-mechanics, and photonics needed
- Background in products developed and manufactured in a clean room environment
- Superior problem solving skills, results oriented, excellent analytically, well organized, and capable of working within a small startup environment supporting engineering, operations, and finance personnel as well as well external customers and vendors.
