DESCRIPTION: Responsible for the design, build, development and support of software tools required by the QA team for test management, test automation and test execution/regression.
managing the implementation of quality assurance strategies, methodologies and metrics collection, with a heavy emphasis on quality upstream;
driving and refining software quality assurance best practices to enhance testing capabilities within QA team;
defining quality guidelines, identify process gaps, and champion/lead initiatives to strengthen overall product quality; providing weekly dashboard report to QA Director;
collaborating with QA team and review test plans to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, completeness, and to mitigate risks;
reviewing bugs found by QA team, and work with Dev/QA team to determine priorities for fixes;
performing evaluation of risk-based testing;
working closely with Product Development, Release and Product teams to prioritize assignments and manage risks/issues to ensure successful delivery;
proactively engaging with planning, design and development teams to promote prevention of defects early in project/development life cycles;
assisting with the recruitment, management, mentorship, and development of a talented high performing team of in-house technical Quality Engineers;
and defining product goals and quality guidelines, and providing technical guidance to the QA team, while instilling creativity, accountability, and teamwork.
U.S. Master of Science degree or foreign academic equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus two (2) years of relevant, progressive experience is required. U.S. Bachelor of Science degree or foreign academic equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related field of study plus five (5) years of relevant, progressive experience is also acceptable. Within the foregoing parameters, any suitable combination of education, training & experience is acceptable.
