To assist in the coordination of daily operation in the Clinical Quality Measures and Clinical Rules. The Quality Assurance Nurse will perform the duties of the department in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards/specifications and as be directed by the Clinical Staff at DiagnosisOne.
Qualifications
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a LPN/RN in this state.
Must have sufficient previous experience in clinical health care including direct experience in quality assurance.
Excellent written and verbal skills are required.
Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with D1 staff and clients.
Must be knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
Must possess good understanding of quality measure programs such as MU1, MU2, PQRS, HEDIS etc.
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Job Requirements
Perform review of catalogs which are collections of rules and ensure completion of appropriate test cases
Construct a log of all rules in the catalog, print out Rule Logic and compare different rules in the measure
Perform review of clinical rules and ensure that rules satisfy program specifications.
Update rules on periodic basis and summarize findings for the clinical staff and key clients
Ability to communicate Measure logic and how it is encoded in the Rules Editor to clients
Interpret measure specifications and deduce medical logic needed in DiagnosisOne?s Content Editor
Review rules and content independently and to make decisions regarding the contents of the rules and edit rules if needed.
Establish and maintain tracking systems for identified problems/indicators.
Develop and implement appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies as needed.
Perform administrative requirements such as completing forms, writing reports, etc., and submit to the Director of Quality Assurance, Administrator or appropriate agency as directed.
Participate in meetings as directed.
Schedule committee meetings and notify members of such meetings.
Assist the clinical department in developing indicators and follow-up procedures for identified problems.
Assist in the maintenance of tracking logs, rule errors etc. and monitor for trends requiring corrective actions.
