Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer New Brand Analytics
Job Summary:
A Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality, enterprise class
systems in an agile environment. The individual will prepare test scenarios, create data sets for testing,
and analyze and validate results. This is a hands-on position.
Responsibilities:
Design test scenarios for application releases and projects, and work with project teams to obtain
approval
Ensure the execution of all functional and performance tests according to test scenarios,
document results, and quickly identify and troubleshoot issues
Use automated tools to perform functional and performance testing as needed
Participate in the early phases of product requirements / definition to ensure that inputs into
testing process can be translated into test scenarios
Work closely with product / project teams to understand solution requirements, generate test
scripts, and perform test analysis
Raise potential issues to the appropriate parties and contribute to solutions
Perform special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+3 years of demonstrated experience in a quality assurance role
Experience operating in an Agile development environment
Linux and SQL experience
Experience with open source automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Fitnesse, Cucumber, Robot
Framework)
Scripting or OO coding experience a plus (e.g. Ruby, Python, Shell, Java)
Able to work night and weekend hours as required
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of professional and technical individuals
Proven ability to work with cross functional teams to achieve results
Demonstrated willingness to step out of comfort zone and accept risk
Affinity to deal with multi-cultural partners around the world
Flexibility and versatility in problem analysis and resolution
Ability to troubleshoot and create action plans to quickly and effectively address problems
Education:
Completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university required
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or similar field preferred
