As a Systems Engineer for Quality Assurance, you will work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while supporting testing needs by deploying software, trouble shooting and configuring environments. Timelines must be met along with exceptional quality, making this a challenging and rewarding position.
We are seeking a Systems Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft web development technologies to fill a permanent position in a highly dynamic and rapidly growing company. Ideal candidates will have experience installing web based software using SQL server, troubleshooting software deployments and creating and executing configuration management plans. Ideal candidates will have experience with managing data creation for Quality Assurance testing and assisting with production deployments. Candidates must have experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server; experience with TFS and or QA testing is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience with either configuration management for software development or managing test environments
Experience deploying server environments to software development testing to include IIS, .NET, SQL Server and MVC
Familiar with source control, build management, continuous integration, automated testing, deployment management, smoke testing, build and release documentation is a plus
Ability to debug deployment issues with QA systems and perform root cause analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences.
Full life cycle development experience
Competence in a range of IT skills including networking, server management, relational databases, scripting, web configuration, etc?
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Information Systems
Desired Skills and Experience
QA testing and methodologies to include functional and regression testing
SQL Generator experience or a willingness to learn
Participation in Agile development methodologies; experience in SCRUM
Exposure to SCM tools from a variety of vendors
Software development in the Financial Services industries
