Job Title: Quality Assurance Test Analyst
Responsibilities:
Ensuring the overall quality of our application development products
Working independently or as a team member in creating and implementing full QA lifecycle project test plans and performing planned and ad-hoc testing on software applications and enterprise systems
The QA Analyst will be a key part of fast paced projects from requirement gathering through production release and support
Work directly with product development and engineering groups to develop test cases, test scripts, and quality requirements for certification of products prior to launch
Participate in test case execution, bug tracking, and issue resolution during development life cycle to ensure products meet all requirements of the functional specification prior to launch
Use SQL to validate the data generated by various products as necessary
Develop a quality monitoring system (automated or manual) for post launch products
When necessary, will participate in the manual monitoring of the system during live events
Will act as the main contact for verification of bug fixes and problem resolution prior to closing open items
Participates during the design and development stages of the product life cycle to provide feedback on usability, performance, and data accuracy
Analyze and identify the root cause of anomalies encountered by reviewing log files, Database tables, etc. Work with developers to resolve issues found
Will interface heavily with Product Management, Business Analysts, Other QA Team Members, Developers and Development Managers to coordinate all testing efforts
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor?s Degree in a business or computer-related field preferred
Telecom experience highly desirable
More than 3 years of experience with end-to-end lifecycle application development
Experience in: evaluating, coordinating and creating software deliverables; meeting with customers; resolving issues; estimating, managing, monitoring, and reporting project cost and schedule.
At least 3+ years experience in any of the following areas:
Project Management, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Business Process Improvement, Financial Analysis, Statistical Analysis, or Data Modeling
Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
This individual must possess solid business acumen, strong oral and written communication skills, flexibility, self-motivation, and social skills.
Experience with conducting studies and investigations, problem analysis, and developing logical and documented recommendations
Proven track record in software testing, including requirements analysis, planning, creation and execution of manual and automated test cases, results analysis, logging and re-testing of defects, and reporting
Strong analytical skills and an understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the QA Process.
Strong SQL query skills and basic knowledge of data management techniques
Experience preferred in the following software technologies:
.NET 3.5
C#, design patterns,
IIS, SQL 2005, MSMQ, relational database design
Microsoft Visual SourceSafe and Subversion (SVN).
TCP/IP, SSL, OOA/OOD, XML, XSD, ASP.NET, FLEX, JAVA
